The Southwest Guilford Cowboys basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Western Guilford Hornets to 60 in the Cowboys league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cowboys now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Forsyth for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 26. Southwest Guilford will meet a Titans team coming off a 59-37 league win over Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC). The Titans record now stands at 7-10.

The Hornets (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Grimsley (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies enter the 4A Conference 55 contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Grimsley was defeated by Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC), 77-68, in a league contest.
