Mississippi High School Basketball - West Union nudges West Lowndes
January 25, 2024: Columbus, MS 39701 West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS), 63-56 in a league bout.
With the win, West Union upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Eagles host Houlka (Houlka, MS) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Region 4 bout on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Houlka lost 68-37 in their recent league bout against West Lowndes (Columbus, MS)
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS) in a 1A Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 26. West Lowndes will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record.
