The Mount Vernon Bulldogs basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Nooksack Valley Pioneers to 49 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sedro-Woolley for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Mount Vernon will battle a Cubs team coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA). The Cubs record now stands at 6-11.

The Pioneers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against King's (Seattle, WA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, King's nudged Sultan (Sultan, WA), 60-18, in a non-league contest.
