Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA), 75-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Serra upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Padres host Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA) to clash with the Monarchs in a West Catholic bout on Saturday, January 28. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Archbishop Mitty won 53-50 in their recent league bout against Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Fightin' Irish clash with the Bellarmine College Prep Bells (San Jose, CA) in a West Catholic bout, on Saturday, January 28. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Bells go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 53-50 league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA).
