Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL), 67-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Andrew upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Thunderbolts travel to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Neuqua Valley won 61-43 in their recent league bout against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Sandburg will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Argonauts go into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 77-57 league loss to Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL).
