January 26, 2024: Leitchfield, KY 42754 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY) and the visiting Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY), saw Grayson County's basketball squad overcome Edmonson County by a tally of 65-50.
With the victory, Grayson County improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Meade County (Brandenburg, KY) to confront the Green Waves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Green Waves go into the test with a record of 7-12. Meade County lost 89-42 in their recent non-league test against North Hardin (Radcliff, KY)
The Wildcats now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Butler County for a District 12 test on Monday, January 29. Edmonson County will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 86-38 league win over Trinity (Whitesville, KY). The Bears record now stands at 10-6.
