The Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) basketball nipped the host Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), 61-56 in Friday's non-league test.

The Colonels (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Einstein (Kensington, MD). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Einstein got by Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD), 58-54, in a non-league test.

The Screamin' Eagles now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Whitman for a non-league test on Monday, January 29. Seneca Valley will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 70-67 non-league win over Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD). The Vikings record now stands at 11-3.
