January 27, 2023: Central City, IA 52214 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) and the host Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA), saw Alburnett's basketball squad overcome Central City by a tally of 71-58.
With the victory, Alburnett improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Wilton (Wilton, IA) to confront the Beavers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Beavers come into the challenge with a record of 11-4.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Central City will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 78-27 league loss to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA).
