Polo Marcos (Polo, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL), 49-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Polo upgrades its record to 11-14 on the campaign. The Marcos travel to Eastland (Lanark, IL) to play the Cougars in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South bout on Tuesday, January 31.
