Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV), 54-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Petersburg upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Pendleton County (Franklin, WV) to play the Wildcat in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Wildcat come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Pendleton County won 53-43 in their recent league bout against Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV)
