First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC), 44-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, First Flight upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to play the Bears in a 2A/3A Conference 15 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 13-4. Hertford County won 45-43 in their recent non-league bout against Northampton County (Gaston, NC)

Next up, the Bruins play the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Camden County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 16-1 record after their 89-59 non-league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA).
