The Surry Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks to 45 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forbush for a 2A Conference 37 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Surry Central will battle a Falcons team coming off a 54-32 league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 14-6.

The Buckin' Elks (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams come into the 1A Conference 36 contest with a 8-10 record.
