Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) and the visiting Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), saw West Valley's basketball squad hold off Anderson by a tally of 51-50.

With the victory, West Valley improves its record to 7-13 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 17-4. Foothill won 59-49 in their recent league challenge against Enterprise (Redding, CA)
