Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clarkston Angoras (Clarkston, GA), 69-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Stone Mountain upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Pirates host Cross Keys (Atlanta, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 4-15. Cross Keys lost 83-17 in their recent non-league bout against Loganville Christian Academy (Loganville, GA)

Next up, the Angoras play the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears (Atlanta, GA) in a AAAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Clarkston will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 68-57 league win over Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA).
