Virginia High School Basketball - Northumberland knocked off by Lancaster
January 27, 2024: Heathsville, VA 22473 The Lancaster Red Devils basketball team scored 31 points and held the host Northumberland Indians to 22 in the Red Devils league triumph on Saturday.
The Red Devils now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westmoreland for a Northern Neck contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lancaster will meet a Eagles team coming off a 53-37 league win over Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-5.
The Indians (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against West Point (West Point, VA). The Pointers enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, West Point was outscored by Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA), 48-41, in a league contest.
