The Essex Trojans basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Lancaster Red Devils to 8 in the Trojans league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rappahannock for a Northern Neck contest on Monday, January 22.

The Red Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Drifters enter the Northern Neck contest with a 3-7 record.
