The Essex Trojans routed the host Mathews Blue Devils basketball team by a final score of 55-29 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Trojans face the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 8.
