Virginia High School Basketball - Essex overwhelms King & Queen Central
February 5, 2024: Tappahannock, VA 22560 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) and the visiting King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA), saw Essex's basketball squad wallop King & Queen Central by a tally of 62-23.
With the victory, Essex improves its record to 16-0 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lancaster (Lancaster, VA) to confront the Red Devils in a Northern Neck challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Lancaster lost 36-33 in their recent non-league challenge against West Point (West Point, VA)
Next up, the Royal Tigers confront the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) in a Tidewater challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. King & Queen Central will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 5-17 record after their 45-25 non-league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, VA).
