The Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), 63-62 in Friday's league test.

The Comets (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Apprentice Academy (Monroe, NC). The Red Wolves go into the 1A Conference 38 test with a 1-15 record. In their last test, Apprentice Academy was tipped by Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC), 96-48, in a league test.
