Connecticut High School Basketball - Brookfield nips Pomperaug
January 28, 2022: Brookfield, CT 06804 Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), 59-52 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Brookfield upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to play the Lancers in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Monday, January 31. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 11-1. Notre Dame Catholic won 61-31 in their recent league bout against Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT)
Next up, the Panthers play the Bethel Wildcats (Bethel, CT) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 31. Pomperaug will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 59-55 league loss to Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
