The Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) basketball edged the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 62-57 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a 4A South Meck bout on Friday, January 31. Berry will play a Knights team coming off a 74-44 league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Knights record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, South Mecklenburg falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Sabres host Palisades (Charlotte, NC) to play the Pumas in a 4A South Meck bout on Friday, January 31.
