January 28, 2025: Chicago, IL 60644 Wheaton Academy Warriors (West Chicago, IL) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL), 66-58 in a league match.
With the victory, Wheaton Academy advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Warriors host St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to face the Green Wave in a Chicagoland Christian match on Friday, January 31. The Green Wave enter the match with a record of 10-12. St. Edward won 77-71 in their recent non-league match against Cristo Rey St. Martin (Waukegan, IL)
The Gladiators now own a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aurora Christian for a Chicagoland Christian match on Friday, January 31. Christ the King will face a Eagles squad coming off a 62-58 league win over Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 12-8.
