The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) and the host Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), observed South Mecklenburg's basketball team overwhelm Berry by a margin of 69-31.

The Sabres (17-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas come into the 4A South Meck challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Palisades was trounced by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 58-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A South Meck challenge, on Friday, January 31. Berry will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 65-19 league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC).
