The Palisades Pumas basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), was outscored 51-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC)

With the victory, South Mecklenburg advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Sabres host Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Knights in a 4A South Meck battle on Friday, January 10. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 6-6.

The Pumas now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olympic for a 4A South Meck battle on Tuesday, January 7. Palisades will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 58-24 league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-8.
