North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg bests Myers Park

January 17, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28209

The South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) basketball toppled the host Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC), 46-36 in Friday's league bout.

The Sabres now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Ardrey Kell for a 4A South Meck bout on Wednesday, January 22. South Mecklenburg will play a Knights team coming off a 65-55 non-league win over Lancaster (Lancaster, SC). The Knights record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Myers Park falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC) to play the Wolves in a 4A South Meck bout on Friday, January 24. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Ballantyne Ridge lost 74-18 in their recent league bout against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
