Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA), 52-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Palo Alto upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Milpitas (Milpitas, CA) to play the Trojans in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-9.

Next up, the Pioneers confront the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Cupertino will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 65-58 league loss to Los Altos (Los Altos, CA).
