Mississippi High School Basketball - Myrtle ripped by Hickory Flat
January 29, 2024: Hickory Flat, MS 38633 The Hickory Flat Rebels basketball team scored 85 points and held the visiting Myrtle Hawks to 63 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Monday.
The Rebels now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coffeeville for a 1A Region 3 contest on Friday, February 2. Hickory Flat will meet a Pirates team coming off a 65-63 league win over Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 12-7.
The Hawks (2-24) will now prepare for their contest against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS). The Cardinals enter the 1A Region 2 contest with a 3-18 record. In their last contest, Jumpertown was routed by Thrasher (Booneville, MS), 47-46, in a non-league contest.
