Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Princeville upgrades its record to 14-10 on the season. The Princes travel to Annawan (Annawan, IL) to play the Braves in a Lincoln Trail bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 20-5. Annawan won 63-34 in their recent league bout against Stark County (Toulon, IL)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 46-36 league loss to ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL).
