Washington High School Basketball - River Ridge thwarts Capital
January 29, 2025: Lacey, WA 98513 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) and the visiting Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA), observed River Ridge's basketball team knock off Capital by a score of 68-54.
The Hawks (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against North Thurston (Lacey, WA). The Rams come into the 3A Puget Sound challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, North Thurston was knocked off by Lakes (Lakewood, WA), 72-61, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Timberline Blazers (Lacey, WA) in a 3A Puget Sound challenge, on Friday, January 31. Capital will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record. The Blazers come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 82-52 league win over Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA).
