In Wednesday's league contest, the host Center Cougars basketball team scored a big 81-38 triumph over the Wheatland Pirates.

The Cougars now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Bear River for a Pioneer Valley League bout on Friday, January 31. Center will play a Bruins team coming off a 79-56 league loss to Marysville (Marysville, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 10-12.

With the loss, Wheatland falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Colfax (Colfax, CA) to play the Falcons in a Pioneer Valley League bout on Friday, January 31.
