The Central Cabarrus Vikings basketball squad (Concord, NC), was outscored 69-51 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC)

With the victory, East Mecklenburg advances its record to 13-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to Butler (Matthews, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a 4A Southwestern battle on Friday, January 31. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 12-8. Butler won 68-47 in their recent league battle against Providence (Charlotte, NC)

The Vikings now own a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont battle on Friday, January 31. Central Cabarrus will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 78-30 league loss to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-18.
