The Fitch Falcons basketball squad (Groton, CT), was crushed 67-36 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting New London Whalers (New London, CT)

With the victory, New London advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Whalers host Killingly (Killingly, CT) to meet the Redmen in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 1. The Redmen enter the battle with a record of 7-1. Killingly won 44-38 in their recent league battle against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT)

The Falcons now own a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterford for a non-league battle on Friday, January 31. Fitch will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 67-62 non-league win over Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 2-6.
