Iowa High School Basketball - Aplington-Parkersburg fells Denver
January 30, 2024: Denver, IA 50622 Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA), 81-68 in a league bout.
With the win, Aplington-Parkersburg upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Falcons travel to Union (La Porte City, IA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Union won 77-66 in their recent league bout against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA)
Next up, the Cyclones clash with the South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Denver will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 57-43 league loss to Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA).
