The Bovina Mustangs basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Boys Ranch Roughriders to 35 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 11-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vega for a 2A Region I District 3 contest on Friday, February 2.

The Roughriders (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Farwell (Farwell, TX). The Steers enter the 2A Region I District 3 contest with a 19-9 record. In their last contest, Farwell ran past Highland Park (Amarillo, TX), 79-34, in a league contest.
