Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Penns Manor thwarts River Valley

The Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA), 53-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Comets (7-14) will now prepare for their test against West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA). The Wolves go into the Heritage test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, West Shamokin notched a victory over Purchase Line (Commodore, PA), 65-38, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 14-6 record. They play next when they host Marion Center for a Heritage test on Thursday, February 1. River Valley will encounter a Stingers squad coming off a 47-42 league win over Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Stingers record now stands at 10-11.
