The Cherokee Braves basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Andrews Wildcats to 26 in the Braves league triumph on Tuesday.

The Braves now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hayesville for a 1A Big Smoky contest on Friday, February 2. Cherokee will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 52-28 league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 16-4.

The Wildcats (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights enter the 1A Big Smoky contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Robbinsville was routed by Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC), 60-58, in a league contest.
