The Mathews Blue Devils tipped the visiting Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines basketball team by a final score of 33-28 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Blue Devils face the Warhill Lions (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 3. Mathews will attempt to advance on its 5-15 season record. The Lions go into the outing with a 11-4 record after their 50-43 league win over Grafton (Yorktown, VA).

The Wolverines now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to King & Queen Central for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2.
