The Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 49-42 in Tuesday's league test.

The Fighting Zebras (20-3) will now prepare for their test against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings go into the Foothill Valley test with a 9-15 record. In their last test, Oakmont was tipped by Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA), 49-41, in a league test.

The Hillmen now own a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Nevada Union for a Foothill Valley match on Thursday, February 1. Placer will meet a Miners team coming off a 61-43 league loss to West Park (Roseville, CA). The Miners record now stands at 7-13.
