Illinois High School Basketball - Libertyville tops Lake Zurich
January 31, 2023: Lake Zurich, IL 60047 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Libertyville Wildcats (Libertyville, IL) and the host Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL), saw Libertyville's basketball squad knock off Lake Zurich by a tally of 40-30.
With the victory, Libertyville improves its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to play the Mustangs in a North Suburban challenge on Friday, February 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-14. Mundelein lost 71-70 in their recent league challenge against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL)
Next up, the Bears play the Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL) in a North Suburban challenge, on Friday, February 3. Lake Zurich will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Scouts come into the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 45-43 league loss to Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL).
