January 31, 2023: Santa Rosa, NM 88435 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM), by a count of 60-18.
The Lions (15-7) will now prepare for their outing against Clayton (Clayton, NM). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A District 6 outing with a 17-4 record. In their last outing, Clayton smashed Pecos (Pecos, NM), 55-40, in a league outing.
The Rangers/Rangerettes now hold a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Mesa Vista for a 2A District 5 outing on Thursday, February 2. Mora will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 52-47 league win over Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 18-2.
