Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD), 76-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Long Reach upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Lightning host Howard (Ellicott City, MD) to play the Lions in a Howard County bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Howard won 62-43 in their recent league bout against Reservoir (Fulton, MD)

Next up, the Vikings play the Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County bout, on Friday, February 2. Mt. Hebron will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Scorpions come into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 47-40 league loss to Atholton (Columbia, MD).
