January 31, 2025: Rochester, MN 55901 The Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) basketball crushed the host John Marshall Rockets (Rochester, MN), 74-44 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 18-1 record. They play next when they travel to Orono for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 1. Mankato East will play a Spartans team coming off a 76-72 league loss to Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 12-4.
With the loss, John Marshall falls to 15-3 on the campaign. The Rockets host Century (Rochester, MN) to play the Panthers in a AAAA Section 1 bout on Tuesday, February 4.
