The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) and the visiting Meyersdale Red Raiders (Meyersdale, PA), observed North Star's basketball team overwhelm Meyersdale by a margin of 72-24.

The Cougars (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Southern Huntingdon County (Three Springs, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 9-9 record. In their last challenge, Southern Huntingdon County was trounced by East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA), 53-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings (Shanksville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Meyersdale will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 64-36 league win over Hyndman Charter School (Hyndman, PA).
