North Carolina High School Basketball - Palisades can't hold off South Mecklenburg

South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 63-61 in a league match.

With the victory, South Mecklenburg advances its record to 12-9 on the year. The Sabres travel to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Knights in a 4A South Meck battle on Friday, February 7. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 17-3.

The Pumas now own a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olympic for a 4A South Meck battle on Tuesday, February 4. Palisades will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 70-38 league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 14-5.
