Illinois High School Basketball - Normal Community holds off Metamora
February 1, 2025: Normal, IL 61761 The Normal Community Ironmen basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Metamora Redbirds to 62 in the Ironmen non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Ironmen now possess a 19-4 record. They play next when they host Mahomet-Seymour for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. Normal Community will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 76-42 non-league win over Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-10.
With the loss, Metamora falls to 21-6 on the campaign. The Redbirds host Pekin (Pekin, IL) to confront the Dragons in a Mid-Illini game on Wednesday, February 5. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 8-13. Pekin lost 70-46 in their recent league game against Morton (Morton, IL)
