February 1, 2025: Velma, OK 73491 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) and the visiting Apache Warriors (Apache, OK), observed Velma-Alma's basketball team edge Apache by a score of 41-36.
The Comets (7-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Elmore City-Pernell (Elmore City, OK). The Badgers come into the Oilfield challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Elmore City-Pernell was tipped by Ringling (Ringling, OK), 63-42, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Mangum Tigers (Mangum, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Apache will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 52-26 non-league win over Tipton (Tipton, OK).
