Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Portage fells Windber

February 2, 2022: Windber, PA 15963

Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Windber Ramblers (Windber, PA), 67-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Portage upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA) to play the Vikings in a Western Pennsylvania - Northern bout on Friday, February 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Blacklick Valley lost 50-41 in their recent non-league bout against Harmony Area (Westover, PA)

Next up, the Ramblers play the North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) in a Western Pennsylvania - Northern bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Windber will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 65-40 league win over Ferndale (Johnstown, PA).
