Virginia High School Basketball - Blue Ridge nips Miller School of Albemarle

February 2, 2023: St. George, VA 22935

Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA), 52-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blue Ridge upgrades its record to 15-9 on the season. The Barons travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to play the Cadets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 20-2. St. John's won 65-51 in their recent league bout against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Wesley Christian (Allen, KY) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, February 5. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The go into the bout with a 9-21 record after their 68-63 non-league loss to Teays Valley Christian (Scott Depot, WV).
