February 2, 2024: Buxton, NC 27920 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC) and the host Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC), saw Bear Grass Charter's basketball squad wallop Cape Hatteras by a tally of 60-18.
With the victory, Bear Grass Charter improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC) to confront the Lakers in a 1A Atlantic 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. Mattamuskeet lost 49-44 in their recent league challenge against Hobgood Charter (Hobgood, NC)
Next up, the Hurricanes confront the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC) in a 1A Atlantic 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Cape Hatteras will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 62-26 league loss to Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC).
