Iowa High School Basketball - Clarinda nips Clarke
February 2, 2024: Osceola, IA 50213 Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA), 66-63 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Clarinda upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Creston (Creston, IA) to play the Panthers in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Monday, February 5. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-13. Creston won 59-49 in their recent league bout against Red Oak (Red Oak, IA)
Next up, the Indians play the Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA) in a South Central bout, on Saturday, February 3. Clarke will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 65-25 non-league win over Wayne (Corydon, IA).
